Living Solutions was set up as a social enterprise by two graduates of Fife’s School for Social Entrepreneurs (The SSE), to tackle social and environmental problems in Fife, in particular; unemployment, fuel poverty, species loss and climate change.

Our aims are to:

• Conserve & protect the natural environment
• Reduce unemployment
• Manufacture and build affordable sustainable housing

Living Solutions works to achieve these aims through carrying out environmental improvements and projects in the local community and providing employment, training and volunteering opportunities within these projects. Our acheivements include

• Providing 47 volunteering & training opportunities
• Creating 4 jobs
• Carrying out regular garden maintenence and grass cutting services for a local Housing Association
• Designing and building a community garden with a celtic circle
• Working with the Forestry Commission to improve local woodlands
• Forming partnerships with organisations such as Project Scotland and local schools
• Starting an allotment project in Lochgelly
